A native of Peroorkkada in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala, Nyla is among the most popular and influential Malayali media personalities in the Gulf.
A Landmark Career in Radio Broadcasting
For over 11 years, Nyla has been hosting the highly popular morning show ‘The Big Breakfast Club’ on HIT 96.7 FM. She holds the distinction of being the first female voice to go on air on the world’s first 24-hour Malayalam radio station, a milestone that marked the beginning of a remarkable radio career.
Her excellence in radio presentation earned her the Best Asian RJ Award at the Masala Awards 2012, along with the Woman of the Year Award from the RAK Malayali Women’s Association.

Nyla entered the Malayalam film industry as the lead actress in ‘Kunjananthante Kada’, which received critical acclaim. She later acted in popular films including:

Born to late Kaithamukku Gopakumar and Usha, Nyla credits her upbringing for shaping her values and commitment to excellence.
