Launch of Media Lab Publishers
Media Lab Publishers LLC was established in August 2012 with a vision to create specialized publications focusing on the rapidly growing real estate market in the UAE.
The company launched its first magazine, Property Times, in December 2012 with an initial print run of 20,000 copies. The magazine quickly gained recognition within the real estate industry.
Due to its growing popularity, the circulation of Property Times was doubled to 40,000 copies in January 2013, establishing it as one of the leading real estate magazines in Dubai.
Property Times Elite – A Premium Real Estate Publication
In September 2013, during the prestigious Cityscape Global event in Dubai, Media Lab Publishers introduced Property Times Elite, a luxury coffee table book.

Property Times People’s Choice Real Estate Awards
One of the most innovative initiatives introduced by Binesh Panicker was the Property Times People’s Choice Real Estate Awards.
This award concept was unique in the region because winners were selected through online voting by customers, rather than by a jury panel.
The first awards ceremony was held in May 2015 and attracted nearly 400 attendees, including:

Media Lab Publishers has also secured the rights to publish the Dubai International Airport and City Guide on behalf of the Dubai Airports Authority.
The guide is printed with a circulation of 100,000 copies every two months and distributed across all three terminals of Dubai International Airport.
In addition, Media Lab signed an agreement with Urbanise, an Australian Stock Exchange-listed company, to launch an exclusive online home maintenance portal.
Professional Journey of Binesh Panicker
Before establishing Media Lab Publishers, Binesh Panicker built a diverse career in journalism and publishing.
His career path includes:
- Moving to Mumbai in 2003, where he worked as a sales executive and call centre executive
- Later becoming Senior Editorial Coordinator at Index Furniture Journal, a publication dedicated to architects and interior designers
- Relocating to Dubai in 2008 and working as a Sub Editor at Gulf News for three years
After gaining significant media experience, he launched Media Lab Publishers, marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey.
Personal Life
Binesh Panicker was born and raised in Kerala. He is the son of Babu Narayan and Lalitha Babu and is a native of Thonnakkal in Thiruvananthapuram district.
He completed his schooling at Thonnakkal Government High School and pursued higher education at University College, Thiruvananthapuram.
Binesh is married to Seebha, Managing Director of Aabha Airco LLC, a company specializing in:
- Air conditioning installation and maintenance
- Ventilation and air filtration systems
- Electro-mechanical equipment services
- Electrical transmission installations
- Lift and escalator contracting
The couple has a daughter named Aabha.
