Nam Hariharan Sahasra, Director at Falcon Group, is a seasoned global trade professional with roots in Kochi, Kerala. An alumnus of SRV High School, he pursued higher education at two of the region’s most prestigious institutions – Maharaja’s College and Sacred Heart College – both known for fostering critical thinking and academic excellence.
Sahasra began his career in 1982 with the State Bank of India (SBI), serving at branches in Kattappana and Fort Kochi for over 11 years. The experience at India’s largest bank laid a strong foundation for his career in finance and trade.
His international journey started with the Saudi Industrial Export Company (SIEC) in Riyadh, where he contributed to the firm’s innovative trade facilitation model, connecting Saudi-based businesses to international markets. In 2002, he joined Falcon Trade Corporation, initially overseeing operations in Riyadh before taking charge of the Dubai office in 2003.
Falcon Trade Corporation, headquartered in Dubai International Financial Centre, is a dynamic and diversified trading house. It specializes in the global distribution of commodities, capital goods, semi-capital equipment, and consumer products. Under Sahasra’s leadership, Falcon has expanded its footprint across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, North America, and South America, becoming a trusted name in international trade and supply chain partnership.
Sahasra is a member of the Indian Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC). A passionate reader, he finds inspiration in literature and learning.
He is the son of the late Hariharan, a proud Indian Navy veteran, and Saraswathi, both of whom instilled in him the values of discipline and perseverance. He currently resides in Dubai with his wife Malini, a teacher at Indian High School Dubai. Their daughter, Janaki Saraswathy, is in her final year of MBBS at Cochin Medical College, while their son, Harikrishnan, is pursuing veterinary medicine.
