Currently serving as the Associate Director – Media Relations at UAE Exchange, Moideen Koya KK has carved a unique identity in the UAE’s media and cultural landscape through passion, creativity, and perseverance.
From Engineering to Media Excellence
Armed with an engineering background, Moideen Koya KK arrived in the UAE with technical expertise, but his destiny led him toward media and creative communication. Before migrating, he worked as a service engineer at IPA, Bangalore, and later as a process camera operator at Malayala Manorama, one of Kerala’s most respected media houses.
In the UAE, he began his career with Ali Al Hashmi Trading Establishment, the Middle East’s largest printing and graphic arts company. His transition into broadcasting soon followed, marking the beginning of an illustrious media career.
Pioneering Malayalam Radio and Television in the Gulf
Moideen Koya KK played a pivotal role in shaping Malayalam broadcasting in the Middle East:
- Programme Manager – UAQ Radio 846 AM, under Shamal Media Services
- Instrumental in establishing and refining the Malayalam channel during its formative years
- Mentor – Asianet Radio (Middle East)

Moideen Koya KK completed his schooling at GHSS Naduvannur and Nochad HSS, pursued Pre-Degree studies at Farook College and SNG College Chelannur, and earned a BA Malayalam from Calicut University.
