Early Life and Influences
A native of Ernakulam, Kerala, Mithun Girishan is the son of Girishan P.K., a retired Income Tax Officer, and Geetha C.K., a former Marketing Officer at Keltron, a Kerala public sector undertaking.
From a young age, Mithun displayed a deep fascination for the stock market. Long before online trading platforms existed, he closely followed stock movements through newspapers, maintaining detailed records and clippings. His early exposure was strengthened by the fact that his mother was a stock trader herself.
Education and Career Beginnings
Mithun completed his schooling in Ernakulam and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Kottayam in 2005.
His professional journey began with an NGO in Chennai, driven by a desire to contribute to society. However, ethical concerns led him to exit the role within months. Soon after, he transitioned into the IT sector.
IT Career and Entrepreneurial Experiments
In 2006, Mithun joined UST Global at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. Despite receiving an H-1B visa opportunity to the United States, he chose entrepreneurship over a conventional career path.
In 2009, he founded a design firm, I-Designs, followed by a software training company, I-Best. Though impacted by the global recession, these ventures strengthened his business acumen while he continued trading stocks part-time.

In 2011, Mithun joined TCS Kochi, working on global accounts such as IBM, Bank of America, JP Morgan, and American Express. This exposure enhanced his understanding of international financial systems.
During this period, he mentored peer trading groups, refining his skills as a trainer. His major breakthrough came when he showed exceptional trading performance, earning a six-figure profit in a short period, giving him financial independence and the confidence to pursue trading full-time.

In October 2014, Mithun left TCS as a Project Manager to focus entirely on trading, mentoring, and consulting. By then, his trading income had far surpassed his corporate salary.

At the suggestion of his wife, Mithun rebranded the venture as Mithun’s Money Market, transforming himself into a recognizable name in the UAE trading education ecosystem.
