E.V. Thamban is the Managing Director of Saravana Bhojan Shala, a popular South Indian vegetarian restaurant chain in Dubai, with three successful outlets. With over four decades of professional experience in hospitality, trading, IT, and finance, he has established himself as a dynamic entrepreneur and respected figure in the UAE business community.
Career Journey
E.V. Thamban began his career in 1980 when he moved to Dubai and joined Nazar Al Zair Company, where he worked for 8 years. In 1988, he joined Resser LLC, where he continues to serve as IT and Finance Manager. His dedication, vision, and business acumen led him to venture into entrepreneurship.
In 1999, he launched Super Stationery LLC, a successful retail brand with three outlets. His foray into the food industry came in 2008 with the founding of Saravana Bhojan Shala, which has since grown into a trusted name for authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine. Later, he diversified into the automotive service industry by starting Al Aska Car Washing in Jebel Ali Gardens.
Today, Mr. Thamban’s enterprises employ around 105 staff members, reflecting his leadership and commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

A Postgraduate in Computer Education, E.V. Thamban hails from Elambilan Veetil House, Pappinissery, Kannur District, Kerala, India. He lives in Dubai with his wife Mrs. Sheeja Thamban. The couple has two sons:
