Ashraf Basheer Uliyil who is Specialized in Aviation and Literature started his career as a Marketing Co-coordinator and has to his credit several Awards like ‘Best Staff of the Year’ during 2009, 2010 and 2011 at Fujairah Airport and the ‘Dubai Excellence Award’. He is presently working as Senior Marketing Executive at Fujairah International Airport.
Before joining Fujairah Airport, he has worked at RAS Airport in 1991. He has also worked at Sharjah Airport, Dagestan Airlines and Russian Airlines.
Mr. Ashraf Basheer is also a prolific writer in the literary arena and many of his articles were published in several periodicals including Madhyamam, Kala Kaumudi and Chandrika.
Being an Airport Marketing Management expert, Ashraf Basheer has developed good skills in Media Relations and Public Relation and has a thorough knowledge of the Aviation Industry. He also keeps good contacts with leading aviation industrialists and personalities. He maintains very long term relationships with the passengers and Air Cargo operators within the region.
Mr. Ashraf Basheer is well aware of airports and airport related operations and has a thorough knowledge of aircrafts, its type and endurance with fuel consumptions for aircraft chartering and leasing purpose.
With over 15 years of experience working in the Marketing Division of Fujairah International Airport as a marketing professional, he is well versed in airport marketing, business development including advertising, attending aviation events, seminars, exhibitions, business plan & sales strategy development.
He has MBA (Business Administration/Marketing Management). He has also attended several programs like ASM training program on Fundamentals of route development at Manchester-UK ASM training program on Meeting and presenting to Airline at Manchester-UK, Civil Aviation SCA Seminar Certificate, IATA World Geography SWG Seminar Certificate, the Marketing Master Class conducted at the Institute of Sales and Marketing UK, Presentation Skills Spearhead Training Institute Dubai & UK, OAG/Hotel Guide SAB,Seminar Certificate and Effective Leadership and Management at the Institute of Sales and Marketing UK and attended and certified in Global airport leaders forum Dubai.
He is very active in the Cultural and Sports arena of Fujairah with Fanan Cultural & Sports Club’s Local and Expatriate Co-ordinator.He is the main organizer of Maqtoum Champions Ramadan Cricket Tournaments. His collections of poems “Nakshathrangale Nhaan Mubeena” published in 2007.He has been organizing Cricket tournament in Fujairah since 1993 and still continues. He is also involved in the activities of an NGO, the Red Crescent Society.
Hailing from Uliyil in Kannur District, he is the son of Muhammad Basheer, He is married to Nazeema and the couple have a son Amaan Mohammed Ashraf studying in the 10th standard at St.Marry’s school Fujairah and two daughters Dana Mohammed Ashraf studying in Plus II at Al Ansar English School Perumpilavu Kerala and Niama Mohammed Ashraf in the 2nd standard at St.Marry’s School Fujairah.
