Dubai KMCC: A Beacon of Humanitarian Service in the UAE

Dubai KMCC (Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre) stands as a shining example of how community organizations can transform lives through sustained humanitarian service, welfare activism, and cultural renaissance. Origins and Evolution of Dubai KMCC

Dubai KMCC was formed in the late 1970s as the Chandrika Readers’ Forum, inspired by Chandrika, the mouthpiece of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). Later, the organization was renamed Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC), becoming the overseas wing of IUML.

Within four decades, Dubai KMCC has grown into a powerful and influential expatriate organization that upholds the principles and ideologies of its parent organization in Kerala.

Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre is a voluntary organization of Indian expatriates in the UAE, with active units across the country. The organization is deeply engaged in welfare initiatives, cultural activities, and community development programmes benefiting people in both the UAE and Kerala.

Dubai KMCC is registered as a social club under the Community Development Authority of Dubai. The organization has received appreciation from:

It has been honored for its participation in the Clean Up the World Campaign for three consecutive years and is the only Indian organization officially invited to the Dubai Police Parade during UAE National Day celebrations.

Welfare Scheme

Provides ₹5 lakh compensation to the family of a deceased member, medical assistance for critical illnesses, and support for members returning to India. A dedicated software ensures transparency and timely updates.


My Doctor – Monthly Free Medical Clinic

Offers free medical treatment through:

  • Medical camps
  • Health awareness programmes
  • Disease detection camps
  • Blood donation drives
  • Basic life support training

Led by over 100 specialized doctors, the initiative also observes Breast Cancer Day, World Blood Donors’ Day and Diabetes Day.


My Lawyer – Legal Adalat

A fortnightly free legal advisory service offering expert guidance on legal issues. The initiative also coordinates with the Labour Department and Indian Consulate when required.


My Support – Pravasi Pension Scheme

A pension scheme for senior expatriates who have returned to Kerala and lack financial stability. Beneficiaries are selected from each district.


My Health – Insurance Scheme

An affordable insurance initiative helping low-income workers access medical treatment in both the UAE and Kerala.
