The Rise of a Leader: Mr. M. Salahuddin’s Early Years

Born in Trikaripur, Kasargod, Mr. M. Salahuddin built his career step by step, grounding every role in practical wisdom and a strong sense of human responsibility.

His UAE journey began in 1976:

  • Sales Engineer, Ali Haji Abdulla Awazi Gargash

  • Ministry of Electricity & Water (1977)

  • Branch Manager, Ranya Trading (1978)

  • Bablani Electrical Trading Co. (1979)

In 1981, when Al Hathboor acquired Bablani and established Al Hathboor Electricals, Mr. Salahuddin became part of the group—and the momentum began.

From General Manager to CEO of Al Hathboor Group

Between 1981 and 1985, he led Al Hathboor Electricals as General Manager. His breakthrough came when he was entrusted with reviving Gulf Mechanicals, then the weakest unit of the group. He turned it around, making it one of the most profitable divisions.

His ascent continued:

  • Senior General Manager for Electrical & Mechanical Divisions

  • CEO of Al Hathboor Group in 1997

Over a decade and more in this role, he strengthened the group’s identity across the Gulf.

A Leader Rooted in Values and Social Commitment

Despite heading one of the UAE’s major business groups, Mr. Salahuddin is known for his grounded nature. His life philosophy is shaped by mutual respect, contentment, and a sense of responsibility toward those who need help the most.

A significant portion of his earnings is directed toward charity and social causes—a quiet generosity that mirrors his leadership.
