Vinayak R S, a native of Kottarakkara in Kollam district, is a sound engineer at Voice of Kerala. He is also a musician and mridangam artist. Earlier, Vinayak has worked as a sound engineer at Red FM, Thiruvananthapuram, and as a sound engineer-cum-RJ at Kuwait U FM besides doing freelance work in Kerala.
Vinayak’s schooling was at Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Muttara, and Boys Higher Secondary School, Kottarakkara. Then he pursued bachelor’s degree at Swathithirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram and studied Sound Engineering at SAE Technology, Chennai.
Born as the son of Rajendran, a mridangam artist, and M L Rakhi, a music teacher, Vinayak is married to Akhila, who is working as a customer relations executive. The couple has a daughter, Vaiga.
