The company was founded by him in the year 2004; during the initial stage they were only distributor of books in the Middle East region representing publishers in UK, USA, India and Asia Pacific. Today, they have grown huge and are recognized as a renowned and well-established publishing and distributor firm in the Middle East.
Since then they have been majorly dealing in the distribution of trade books, teachers training, and children with special needs especially Dyslexic kids. However, its key staff has had more than a decade of professional experience in the company’s line of work and expertise in the Gulf countries.
They have many groups of customers ranging from bookstores to non- traditional stores, libraries, schools, universities and multinational companies. A pass out from the Cambridge College, New Jersey, Madhavan Menon did his Post Graduation in Sales and Marketing. Soon after his studies he joined Customize Books in 1994 as the Sales Executive in Retail. He was associated with them for almost three years. Later in the year 1996 he joined Time Life Publishing for two years. He was an important part of the Research & Development (R&D) team for Arabic language. Later, in 1999 he joined Customize Books as a Sales Manager. Owing to his efficiency and expertise he was promoted to the post of General Manager and he did a commendable work for them. 2004 can be considered as the turning point in his life as that is when he established his own firm Arif Books Distribution LLC, which has been functioning successfully.
A keen reader, who loves to pen down his views and thoughts, Madhavan Menon is the native of Thrissur district in Kerala. He is the son of Sivadas Menon, retired from HVF Factory Avadi and Usha Menon, a homemaker. Bindu Menon is his better half and the couple is blessed with two children. The elder one is a daughter Arushi Menon studying in grade four in JSS PVT School , Dubai and son Rohan Menon is 3 years old.
