He was interested in Music.He was the Tresurer of Association of Kerala Medical Graduates.The Member of Kerala Malayali Samagam and Kerala Social Centre.He was the Executive of World Malayalee Congress and the Advisor of TEXAS(Trivandrum expatriates Association).
Hailing from Varkala Dr. Shaji Mohamed Haneefa is married to Mrs. Raihanath Shaja and the couple has three children Shafeek, Rafi and Shahana. Shafeek is a engineering student,Rafi is a 7th stantard student and Shahana ,medical student.
